THE Sabah Fire and Rescue Department has activated a search and rescue (SAR) operation for an 18-month-old girl who is believed to have wandered into the woods and fallen into a river near Kampung Batu 66 in Beaufort, this morning.

In a statement today, the department said it was alerted to the incident at 11.19am.
